Our History
1948
The Lewis Buck Jones Agency was founded.
1960
Don Clemens became a partner and the name was changed to Clemens Insurance.
1978
Frank Niepagen and Richard Percy became junior partners.
1979
Clemens and Associates Life Agency, Ltd. was formed to provide group, life, and health insurance, as well as other corporate benefits.
1983
Niepagen & Percy purchased controlling interest in the firm.
1984
Branch office added in Carbondale, Illinois.
1986
Personal Lines department added.
1996
1996 Branch office added in Orlando, Florida.
1999
Branch office added in Jerseyville, Illinois.
2005
Branch office added in Newnan, Georgia.
2013
Jeffrey L. Niepagen and Richard J. Percy purchase controlling interest in the firm.
2020
Moved Carbondale office from Carbondale, IL to Marion, IL.
2021
Acquired Thomas A Bleyer Insurance in Marion, IL.
2023
Branch office added in Sesser, Illinois and Altamonte Springs, Florida.
